Lake Jackson VFD Newest Arrival!!

MAY 02 - The Lake Jackson VFD is excited for the newest addition to the fleet, a new Rosenbauer pumper. Chief Davis and Assistant Chief Bailey just returned from Minnesota where they conducted the final inspection. The 2013 Rosenbauer will be leading the Apple Blossom Parade in Winchester, VA on Friday May 3, 2013. The pumper is expecting to go into service in approximately three weeks.... Busy weekend for E507...

APRIL 07 - E507 finishes out a busy weekend with a working brush fire in Company 6's first due. E507 and B507 assisted with extinguishment and the assessment of (2) ALS patients.

Assisting Manassas Park with Structure Fire

APRIL 07 - E507 was dispatched to Manassas Park as part of the first alarm companies. E507 arrived on the scene and established secondary water on Side Charlie of the structure. Second Due Structure Fire

APRIL 06 - E507 was dispatched to Manassas City for the garage fire in a townhouse. E507 arrived on the scene as the second engine. E507's crew assisted with advancing a line and primary search of the structure. E507's driver established secondary water.... (Full Story & Photos)

First Due Structure Fire

APRIL 06 - On Saturday, April 6, E507 was dispatched for a detached garage fire. Upon arrival; as the first unit, it was determined that the driveway was extremely narrow so a leader line was placed in service and the crews used the 'Mercury Monitor' to quickly blitz the fire. The crews were then able to quickly extinguish the remaining fire using handlines.... (Full Story & Photos)

New Power Hawk Tool

MARCH 18 - The Lake Jackson Auxiliary bought the department a new Power Hawk extrication tool. Department members spent Saturday at the junkyard to learn about the new tool. The class was a huge success and taught the students how it could be used to open damaged doors, remove the doors, perform a dash roll, and remove the roof.

2nd Alarm Garden Apartment Fire

FEBRUARY 18 - E507 and BC504Y responded as part of the first alarm for a reported Garden Apartment structure fire. Units arrived on the scene to fire showing from the roof and requested a second alarm. Crews made an initial interior attack prior to the roof collapsing which prompted a mayday by one of the interior crews. All crews were able to account for personnel and safely evacuate.
